The second drawback in the pool that we experienced was the lack of people wearing their wristbands. We're a captive audience in the pool with the ability to charge to the room - make the drinks readily available and add some additional staff. Very disappointing! This is such a huge opportunity for them and it can't be that difficult to make delicious drinks at a swim-up bar. They tried to serve it to us unfrozen and it looked absolutely disgusting. We had to wait 2 hours for there to be enough frozen pina colada ready. Bonus points for the super comfortable padded lounge chairs! There are 2 swim-up bars but unfortunately the service here is sooooo slow and the tropical drinks tasted like really bad snowcones. It's almost like being at a hotel resort on a tropical island. This is also when you get your wristbands for the pool.which brings me to my next topic: The Pool! For starters, they've made some amazing upgrades to the pool. I also liked that the bathroom was stocked with cotton balls, qtips, and their signature buffalo shaped soap. I'm not usually someone that uses the hotel shampoo/conditioner but there were awesome. One of the best features of the room is the bathroom! I'm a fan of the brightly lit vanity mirror, as well as the lighted 2-way makeup mirror, and the awesome shower - large, no door, & glass. The rooms are clean, in great shape, and have contemporary decor. My husband and I had a great 2 night stay over the weekend - 5th floor, king bed in the tower.
